Faction, Jason Ellis and Punk Rock

Recently, XM and Sirius satellite radio merged and I was not pleased. Up until recently, the union had completely wiped out my old school rap channel and I was really struggling to find something to listen to. Now old school rap is back but I have found a new genre to indulge in: Punk Rock.
Channel 52 on my XM is the Faction Channel. I never listened to Faction until one day I was driving to Charlottesville from Lexington and I began to listen to this talk show hosted by professional skateboarder Jason Ellis. This guy is one of the most vulgar guys I have ever listened to and it makes him absolutely hilarious! Giving him even more comedic star power is the fact that he is Australian. There is something about an Australian accent that gives vocals an extra little kick.
For the most part, Ellis talks about what he has the most passion for, skating, extreme sports, etc. But right now, Ellis seems most passionate about his budding career as a mixed martial artist. As he talks about these things, often with guests from the world of extreme sports, Ellis will get off on tangents that not only captivate you but make you say to yourself, “Did he just say that out loud?” If you get a chance to listen to this guy, do it. It is impossible not to laugh.
Because I don’t want to miss a word that comes out of his mouth during the show I keep the Faction channel on throughout the music segments. I have not listened to Punk with any regularity but it has some good stuff. Great driving music but the best part of Faction is Ellis.

Ok, what is going on and where did the Ellis show go? I’m an avid listener and absolutely love Jason Ellis. I must have missed a show where they talked about it because I heard bits about them going off the air but couldn’t put the pieces together. What do you know? Where did they go and why?

I was listening to faction early friday on the way to baltimore and I heard another host say that his contract had not been renewed and that Friday afternoon’s show may be the last. I hope not and it gets worked out.

Please play more music and do less random babbling. I really don’t wanna hear about a party you were at last night doing whippets, the hair on your back, and other miscellaneous debris of your mind, though it is usually entertaining. I think that Faction should play MOSTLY music, and a little bit of ELLIS, not MOSTLY Ellis and a little bit of music.
love Ellis, love the show. you have to enjoy the random conversations he has with such a variety of people and about everything most people only think of. he has the balls to not only say it ALL out loud, but on well-listened-to talk show. also love that there isnt much music when the show is on. only there for bathroom breaks for the hosts and thats the way it should be. if ya wanna listen to just music, there are, idk, how many hundred channels?
good call. i don’t have XM in my new car and the only thing I am really missing is the Ellis show. Listening to him on the way home really made the commute more enjoyable.
